What is a radiography?

A radiography is a fast, painless diagnostic technique that uses X-rays to obtain images of internal body structures, especially the bones. New techniques, such as Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR), allow for higher quality projections and visual sharpness, as well as using low doses of ionising radiation.

Instructions

Comfortable clothes: Come with loose clothes that are easy to remove.
Contrast administration: In the most complex X-rays, that is, those in which contrast material must be administered, the doctor will explain to you how you should prepare for it.
Pregnancy: You must inform your doctor or X-ray technician if you are or may be pregnant.
Prior diagnostic tests: You should inform your doctor if you have recently undergone a barium examination, CT scan, or an isotopic study with contrast. In this case, you must wait between 10 and 14 days before taking the test.
