The EMG is the study of the electrical activity of nerves and muscles. This requires prick with a very fine gauge needle to stimulate the area to be studied.
It's not necessary a preparation before the exploration, but the patient must inform the specialist in case of pregnancy, carrying a pacemaker or taking anticoagulants. The patient must also provide, if any, previous electromyograms.
