Since July 2024, CreuBlanca has been collaborating with FC Barcelona as an official partner in Diagnostic Imaging. This strategic alliance is based on the expertise of our team of radiologists, specialized in diagnosing muscle, joint, and bone injuries, and on our ongoing commitment to advanced medical technology.
Clinical research projects: innovation and applied knowledge
Thanks to this collaboration with FC Barcelona, we have launched new clinical research lines in sports medicine together with the Barça Innovation Hub and Canon Medical. This joint work allows us to systematically analyze medical imaging tests, identify relevant patterns, and study the evolution of injuries, with the goal of refining diagnostic and therapeutic protocols, always based on scientific evidence.
These studies not only provide practical value to our daily work but have also received international recognition through publications in prestigious scientific journals, positioning CreuBlanca and FC Barcelona as global leaders in sports imaging diagnostics. Some highlighted examples:
- “Muscle Healing in Sports Injuries: MRI Findings and Proposed Classification Based on a Single Institutional Experience and Clinical Observation”
This study focuses on evaluating muscle healing using MRI, proposing a classification based on FC Barcelona’s clinical experience.

Our goal is clear: to turn clinical practice into useful knowledge that improves medical decision-making, drives the advancement of sports medicine, and directly contributes to the well-being and performance of players. Every image, every data point, and every case becomes an opportunity to keep learning, innovating, and caring better for those who give their all on the field.
Diagnostic Imaging: precision and efficiency
As partners in Diagnostic Imaging, our team works closely with the club’s medical staff to integrate advanced technology and specialized radiological knowledge, providing high-precision diagnostic support. This synergy facilitates clinical decision-making, allows detailed injury monitoring, and optimizes recovery processes, ensuring a comprehensive and contextualized clinical view — essential for delivering effective and holistic care to players.
During this first year of collaboration, we have consolidated a fast and high-quality service, aligned with the demanding standards of elite sports and focused on improving both diagnostic precision and recovery outcomes for FC Barcelona players.
We look to the future with the same commitment
At CreuBlanca, we believe in a medicine that evolves, innovates, and adapts to people’s real needs. This strategic alliance with FC Barcelona is a clear example of how the combination of top technology, clinical specialization, and multidisciplinary teamwork makes a difference in the care of elite athletes.
We thank the club for their trust and congratulate the team on this season’s achievements. We move forward with the same enthusiasm and commitment, ready to continue adding value in our role as a Diagnostic Imaging partner.
