This past September 25 the new season of La Travessa, 3Cat’s adventure program presented by the influencer Laura Escanes, premiered. CreuBlanca participated in this new edition by providing the necessary medical check-ups so that the contestants could safely face the demanding challenges of the competition.
In the reality show, eleven couples compete in various adventurous activities to win a prize of 20,000 euros. The first season, set in the Pyrenees, was one of the biggest successes of TV3’s new platform, with over 1,500,000 views. This year, the setting changes to the Mediterranean, where participants will travel more than 300 kilometers of Catalan coastline by land, sea and air for 16 days.
CreuBlanca had the opportunity to collaborate with the program by performing preventive medical tests on the contestants, essential to ensure the physical safety of the competitors and prevent possible risks due to the demanding format of the reality show. Our cutting-edge facilities and our highly specialized team of sports medicine doctors were key for this purpose, as they can detect at an early stage any anomalies or pathologies that could pose a danger to the performance of intense physical activities.
Among the medical tests that the eleven couples underwent following the criteria of the professionals at our centers, stands out the stress test, designed to evaluate their cardiovascular capacity and ensure optimal conditions to participate in the challenges of the program.
