What does it consist of?
These are minimally invasive diagnostic and/or therapeutic processes that are performed through small incisions in the skin under local or general anesthesia. The interventional radiologist uses diagnostic imaging to guide small devices through blood vessels or other pathways to diagnose or treat various pathologies.

The use of interventional radiology can replace other interventions that require open surgery. Generally, interventional radiology procedures are applied in the following cases:
- Perform clinical diagnoses and treat certain diseases, especially cardiovascular.
- Correct vascular and cerebrovascular accidents.
- Implant subcutaneous devices.
