Foot Weight Bearing CT
What does it consist of?
The weight-bearing CT is a small CT scan that allows multiple 3D images to be obtained and 360-degree study of both feet and ankles, unlike conventional radiography, which only allows a single image to be captured.
It is a quick, painless and simple test, in which the patient places both feet on the CT platform, and then the machinery rotates around the body and obtains transverse projections of the feet and ankles in a natural position of support and with the load of the body weight.
