Who is it for?
The breast cancer screening programme is intended for women, in principle healthy and asymptomatic, seeking to assess the condition of their breasts in order to check the shape and correct functioning of their tissues. This screening programme is also strongly recommended for women who are at increased risk of developing breast cancer, with determining factors including: age, a family history of breast cancer or people with inherited genetic mutations for breast cancer (BRCA genes).
